Aigo's iPhone 4 battery case
5:24 AM by Mr. Shahan · 0 comments
Our quest for the perfect iPhone 4 battery case continues apace with the Exolife Exogear presently holding the lead, slightly ahead of the Mophie Juice Pack Air and the Mili PowerSpring. Just like these fine selections, the Aigo aiPower i616 claims to "virtually double" battery life, but it's got another trick up its sleeve: a hidden USB ribbon cable for both charging and data built right into the case. Should you want for a longer sync cable than it provides on its own, there's also a second microUSB port built into the left side, as well as a switch for the external 1500mAh battery and a handy button to display its current level of charge. Not bad for a pleasantly comparable 125.8 x 62.6 x 17.25mm, nor the $80 asking price.

Swap Rebel Mobile watch phone laughs at your wrist-mounted iPod nano
5:21 AM by Mr. Shahan · 0 comments
Apple's iPod nano and the Sony Ericsson LiveView may have disappointed as wrist computers, but our Dick Tracy dream soldiers on, to the point where we found ourselves taking another look at that most dubious of converged devices: the watch phone. There, we discovered the Rebel, the latest creation from UK manufacturer Swap, a quad-band GSM wrist unit with a 1.46-inch color touchscreen and a built-in camera for both video and stills. It may look like a sterile medical wristband, but that silicone strap

LG's E90 monitor slims down to 7.3mm thickness by stuffing everything into its excessively glossy base
5:11 AM by Mr. Shahan · 0 comments
LG's just announced a new desktop visualizer for us all and it looks a promising proposition with its stupendously thin 7.3mm profile and minimal bezels surrounding the screen. But wait, it can't be all good news and it's not, as LG's also decided to apply an ultra-glossy finish to the E90, which should easily neutralize any understated appeal it might otherwise have had. As usual with these ultraslim displays, most of the electronics are encased in the E90's base, though the specs themselves don't seem to be showing any sacrifices. You're looking at an LED-backlit panel with a 2-millisecond response time, a 1920 x 1080 resolution (on the 21.5-inch E2290V), 250 nits of brightness, analog, digital and HDMI inputs, a 10,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, and a €329 ($435) MSRP. It should be

Facebook Announces Global 'Hacker Cup' Competition
2:23 AM by Mr. Shahan · 0 comments
Facebook is taking its hackathons global with the launch of the Facebook 2011 Hacker Cup.
"We're starting the Hacker Cup to bring engineers from around the world together to compete in a multi-round programming competition," Tim Stanke, Facebook software engineer said in a blog post. "Contestants will have to successfully solve algorithmic-based problem statements to advance and are ranked by accuracy and speed."
Registration for the competition opens December 20. Hackers will only become eligible after answering at least one question right in the qualifying round, which lasts for 72 hours, starting January 7.
There are three rounds in the contest, two of which will take place online. Three thousand of the top hackers from Online Round 1 will advance to Online Round 2. The top 300 competitors from Online Round 2 will win a t-shirt. Only the top 25 will get to participate in the final round at Facebook's campus on March 11, and Facebook will pay to for their travel and accommodations.

How to Install Windows on Google's Chrome OS Notebook
2:19 AM by Mr. Shahan · 0 comments
The fact that the Google CR-48 Notebook runs on an Intel processor implies that it can run Windows or some other full blown operating system. But how would you install Windows in the first place? That's not exactly clear. But we have the answer, or at least part of it. Apparently, every Cr-48 notebook is equipped with a developer's mode, which, when activated, can potentially wipe and restore the partition back to factory condition, or break your current Chrome OS setup. That's no big deal, since all the Web Store apps and browser settings reside in the cloud and syncing it all back into your notebook shouldn't take long. The actual point of this exercise is to show you that if you ever decide to hack your Chrome-equipped notebook and install another operating system, switching to developer's mode is the way to do it.
Are Nvidia graphics getting cored out of Apple laptops?
2:14 AM by Mr. Shahan · 0 comments
It looks like Nvidia may be getting shot on both sides when it comes to Apple and graphics solutions for its laptops. The result could be that the green giant is out of most Apple notebooks in 2011, with AMD and Intel dividing the spoils.
Already rumors have been flying that Apple is satisfied enough with the integrated graphics in Intel’s forthcoming Sandy Bridge processors that it will eschew Nvidia on the low end (well, low end for Apple). Now Fudzilla is reporting that its sources believe AMD will deepen its relationship with Apple by selling its Mobility Radeon cards to the computing giant for new MacBook Pros. We’ve already seen that the Mobility Radeon 6900HD series is coming in a forthcoming Alienware laptop, and it would provide a huge boost over the GeForce GT 330M cards in the current MBPs.

Rank checker is a great tool which I use daily it enables you to check the ranks of your websites for certain keywords you maybe targeting. It is a firefox extension built available to download from SEO book.
Installing the SEO tool is easy and takes about 1 minute after you have installed it firefox will restart and in the bottom right hand corner will appear a brand new icon which looks like a smaller version of the image above.
SEO book not only provides the SEO tool and a download link but they also provide a great step by step guide to installing the tool and putting the tool to its use. They explain what you can do with the tool and how to use it effectively, this is something that

You have probably heard a lot of talk about social bookmarking over the past 12 months. It has been said that social bookmarking can help increase traffic and generate links to websites however we are going to explain exactly what social bookmarking is and how it can help if at all.
What is Social Bookmarking?
Social bookmarking is a public list of favourite websites which are open to the public display. They are submitted and featured on social bookmarking websites and an example of this would be Stumbleupon or Digg.
When a site is featured on a social bookmarking website it is available for any other person to view and to interact with that website. It is basically like a search engine just without so much trash.
With social bookmarking websites you only get to view websites which other people have deemed interesting enough to bookmark them. This instantly cuts out 10% of the garbage on the internet today. Generally speaking its real people who bookmark these websites however as with every traffic generating method on the internet there are ways that it is exploited or taken advantage of.
