The latest version should also start to pop up on computers in May, according to Microsoft, which said that manufacturers have already been working with the new home operating system.

Windows Phone 7 apps: 'Quality over quantity'

1:13 AM by Mr. Shahan · 0 comments

Since the launch of Windows Phone 7 operating system last year, Microsoft has been trying to catch up to Apple and Google in the mobile-apps race. And the software giant took to its blog yesterday to share its progress.
Microsofts says that there are now 11,500 applications available in its Windows Marketplace store. Out of that, 7,500 applications are paid, while 1,110 apps are generating revenue through ads, thanks to the company's Microsoft Advertising Ad Control service. On average, Microsoft says, users are downloading 12 apps each month.
The size of Microsoft's mobile marketplace still pales in comparison to Apple's App Store. According to the Apple app page on the company's Web site, there are now over 350,000 available applications to its customers. In January, Apple announced that 10 billion apps had been downloaded from its store since its launch in 2008.

Microsoft to file antitrust complaint against Google

1:08 AM by Mr. Shahan · 0 comments

In a somewhat ironic twist, Microsoft said this evening that it will file a formal complaint against Google tomorrow with European antitrust regulators.
Microsoft, which itself has been the subject of several antitrust probes in the United States and abroad, argues that Google is engaging in anticompetitive behavior in search, online advertising, and smartphone software, Microsoft general counsel Brad Smith wrote in a blog explaining the action.
"Google has done much to advance its laudable mission to 'organize the world's information,' but we're concerned by their broadening pattern of conduct--including walling off access to content and data--that is aimed at stopping anyone else from creating a competitive alternative," Smith said in a statement to CNET.
Google said Microsoft's announcement was no shocker.

2:51 AM by Mr. Shahan · 0 comments

It has been almost 2 months since Blogger introduced the “Stats” feature. Now they have gone a step further by introducing 2 Gadgets related to the “Stats”. Blogger has now got a “Popular Posts” Gadget and a “Blog’s Stats” Gadget.(These are currently available only on Blogger in Draft).

Popular Posts Gadget

Blogger has always lacked such a gadget. There used to be some Yahoo Pipe based widgets, which list out the most commented posts. But these were pretty slow and inefficient. Now Blogger has got this Official Popular Posts Gadget. As the name indicates, the Gadget displays a list of popular posts on your blog.  Here is a Screen Shot of the Gadget Options

Saudi King Abdullah to buy Facebook for $150 billion to end the revolt

6:03 AM by Mr. Shahan · 0 comments

Left with no option, Abdullah advised by Goldman Sachs has decided to buy out Facebook and “clean out the weeds”. The offer on the table is $150 billion. Facebook balance sheet was shown to King Abdullah and his kingdom advisors had mentioned that it is not even worth $1 billion given that it generates no profit. But the King threw the report into the dustbin and fired his advisors and decided to hand over the investment banking mandate to Goldman Sachs who put the value at $150 billion. The deal will be all cash. It is worthwhile to remind our readers that Goldman Sachs had invested into Facebook at an unimaginable $50 billion valuation.

Aigo's iPhone 4 battery case

5:24 AM by Mr. Shahan · 0 comments

Our quest for the perfect iPhone 4 battery case continues apace with the Exolife Exogear presently holding the lead, slightly ahead of the Mophie Juice Pack Air and the Mili PowerSpring. Just like these fine selections, the Aigo aiPower i616 claims to "virtually double" battery life, but it's got another trick up its sleeve: a hidden USB ribbon cable for both charging and data built right into the case. Should you want for a longer sync cable than it provides on its own, there's also a second microUSB port built into the left side, as well as a switch for the external 1500mAh battery and a handy button to display its current level of charge. Not bad for a pleasantly comparable 125.8 x 62.6 x 17.25mm, nor the $80 asking price.

Swap Rebel Mobile watch phone laughs at your wrist-mounted iPod nano

5:21 AM by Mr. Shahan · 0 comments

Apple's iPod nano and the Sony Ericsson LiveView may have disappointed as wrist computers, but our Dick Tracy dream soldiers on, to the point where we found ourselves taking another look at that most dubious of converged devices: the watch phone. There, we discovered the Rebel, the latest creation from UK manufacturer Swap, a quad-band GSM wrist unit with a 1.46-inch color touchscreen and a built-in camera for both video and stills. It may look like a sterile medical wristband, but that silicone strap

LG's E90 monitor slims down to 7.3mm thickness by stuffing everything into its excessively glossy base

5:11 AM by Mr. Shahan · 0 comments

LG's just announced a new desktop visualizer for us all and it looks a promising proposition with its stupendously thin 7.3mm profile and minimal bezels surrounding the screen. But wait, it can't be all good news and it's not, as LG's also decided to apply an ultra-glossy finish to the E90, which should easily neutralize any understated appeal it might otherwise have had. As usual with these ultraslim displays, most of the electronics are encased in the E90's base, though the specs themselves don't seem to be showing any sacrifices. You're looking at an LED-backlit panel with a 2-millisecond response time, a 1920 x 1080 resolution (on the 21.5-inch E2290V), 250 nits of brightness, analog, digital and HDMI inputs, a 10,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, and a €329 ($435) MSRP. It should be

How to Install Windows on Google's Chrome OS Notebook

2:19 AM by Mr. Shahan · 0 comments

The fact that the Google CR-48 Notebook runs on an Intel processor implies that it can run Windows or some other full blown operating system. But how would you install Windows in the first place? That's not exactly clear. But we have the answer, or at least part of it. Apparently, every Cr-48 notebook is equipped with a developer's mode, which, when activated, can potentially wipe and restore the partition back to factory condition, or break your current Chrome OS setup. That's no big deal, since all the Web Store apps and browser settings reside in the cloud and syncing it all back into your notebook shouldn't take long. The actual point of this exercise is to show you that if you ever decide to hack your Chrome-equipped notebook and install another operating system, switching to developer's mode is the way to do it.

Are Nvidia graphics getting cored out of Apple laptops?

2:14 AM by Mr. Shahan · 0 comments

It looks like Nvidia may be getting shot on both sides when it comes to Apple and graphics solutions for its laptops. The result could be that the green giant is out of most Apple notebooks in 2011, with AMD and Intel dividing the spoils.
Already rumors have been flying that Apple is satisfied enough with the integrated graphics in Intel’s forthcoming Sandy Bridge processors that it will eschew Nvidia on the low end (well, low end for Apple). Now Fudzilla is reporting that its sources believe AMD will deepen its relationship with Apple by selling its Mobility Radeon cards to the computing giant for new MacBook Pros. We’ve already seen that the Mobility Radeon 6900HD series is coming in a forthcoming Alienware laptop, and it would provide a huge boost over the GeForce GT 330M cards in the current MBPs.

But not now, SEO is a competitive game with people around the world competing against each other for that number one position you can no longer just do some quick keyword research and call it a day. Rank checker SEO tool review

1:43 AM by Mr. Shahan · 0 comments

Rank checker is a great tool which I use daily it enables you to check the ranks of your websites for certain keywords you maybe targeting. It is a firefox extension built available to download from SEO book.
Installing the SEO tool is easy and takes about 1 minute after you have installed it firefox will restart and in the bottom right hand corner will appear a brand new icon which looks like a smaller version of the image above.
SEO book not only provides the SEO tool and a download link but they also provide a great step by step guide to installing the tool and putting the tool to its use. They explain what you can do with the tool and how to use it effectively, this is something that
